Classical Painting: "Ancient Gods Picture Scroll" by Arakawa Natsuda - Yakumo Tatsu ~ Susanoo-no-Mikoto and Kushinadahime
Classical Painting: Ancient Gods' Picture Scroll by Natsuda Arakawa
Yagumo Tatsu~
Susanoo-no-Mikoto and Kushinadahime
Natsuda Arakawa was an artist who created a unique world by crafting classical paintings of ancient gods' scrolls using the chigiri-e (torn paper collage) technique. (She passed away in 2025 at the age of 91. Her studio no longer exists.)
I found some postcard-sized works that I had purchased. (Since the original chigiri-e paintings were photographed by the artist herself and pasted onto Japanese paper, I have categorized this as fine art photography.)
If anyone is interested, please consider them.
It is presented in a picture frame.
