NKC Liberal Ratchet Handle, Drive Size 1/2" (12.7mm)

This is a gearless (continuously variable) ratchet handle from NKC.
The company unfortunately went out of business in 2013, so after-sales service is not available, but I believe it is a masterpiece. This is a later model with a more compact (thinner) head. I kept it as a collectible because I felt it was too good to use.
Although it is a very minor manufacturer, it seems to have been extremely popular due to the characteristics of its special steel (SNCM420 sub-zero treated), which maintains amazing toughness even in extremely cold regions like Northern Europe. It is said to have been a must-have item for Volvo and Saab in their home country, and for aircraft mechanics in Sweden...
