Handmade pickup for double bass. False bass up to 25-3
This is a type that is inserted into the gap next to the bridge, in the wing area.
It is about 6mm thick. It picks up sound even with a light touch, so it might be better not to push it too hard into the gap.
The output jack will need to be secured to the tailpiece or similar using an RCA clip or a zip tie.
This is a new item that has only been tested for operation, but it has a handmade feel.
I've been trying various things, but each female phone jack has its pros and cons. This one is a Switchcraft copy type, but unlike the ones sold at Sound House, I've made it a type that makes a clicking sound when plugged in. If you experience any issues, such as incompatibility with L-shaped plugs, please let me know.
