Realist WoodTone Pickup for Upright Bass - Working Condition.

This is the definitive upright bass pickup, the Realist WoodTone.

I prefer a warm, rounded sound for my upright bass, and choosing the WoodTone was absolutely the right decision.
Other pickups, for some reason, sounded bright, harsh, and stiff, which was the opposite of what I was looking for.
Realist offers both iron and wood models, and personally, I highly recommend the wood version.
I'm listing this item for anyone who is just starting out with the upright bass and would like to try it.

To install, you simply sandwich it under the bridge. It captures two types of sound: the sound transmitted through the instrument body and the sound transmitted through the strings via the bridge.
