Capacitor MBM .05 160V
With the original pickups and carefully selected electronics, this passive bass delivers highly detailed sound. Fingerstyle playing produces a thick, centered tone.
[Condition (Important)]
As this is a vintage item over 40 years old, please be aware of the following points.
Neck: Visually almost straight, but there is a very slight hint of a high fret.
Truss Rod: Approaching its limit in the tightening direction.
Currently, to avoid fret buzz, the string height is set slightly high at 3.0mm on the 4th string and 2.5mm on the 1st string. It has been used primarily for fingerstyle playing in this condition, producing a thick sound with good playability.
There are age-appropriate scratches and dings, and some fading typical of metallic paint, but it has a very cool vintage look.
This is a rare matching head model, and the electronics have been upgraded with high-quality parts. However, due to the neck condition, it is being offered at a special price as sold as-is, with the understanding that repairs may be needed.
Please purchase only if you understand the value and characteristics of vintage Tokai instruments.
