Gibson SG Bass 2013 Worn Ebony with Hard Case, Made in Canada

This is a rare SG Special Bass in Worn Ebony, designed to age and develop character with use.
(The finish is meant to develop a sheen and eventually reveal the underlying wood?)

This instrument was carefully selected after trying and comparing many basses from the era considered to be good used examples.
It comes with its original Canadian-made Gibson hard case, which has that sweet Gibson scent.

Furthermore, after purchase, common issues such as buzzing from the front pickup cover and loose adjustment screws on the rear pickup have been professionally repaired, replaced, and adjusted. The nut has also been upgraded to a high-quality bone nut.

The fingerboard appears to be straight-grained, relatively dark, and of good quality. No warping has been observed since purchase.

Common issues have been addressed with investment, so it is expected to require less maintenance than usual going forward.

The instrument has been humidity-controlled and is in good condition for its age, but please understand that it is a used item before purchasing.

The thin finish, characteristic of this series, allows the natural wood tone to come through, producing bass notes that complement vocals and other instruments without overpowering them, offering a unique sound.

Worn Finish (Worn Ebony): A satin (matte) finish that develops a vintage-like appearance with use. A sharp black color.
