1984 Matsumoku Aria Pro II CSB-380 Bass Guitar, Black
AriaPro ii CSB380 Black
Manufactured in '84 based on the serial number.
Made by the reliable Matsumoku!
It has a solid construction and produces a good sound with deep, rich bass and low-midrange.
The slim, short medium scale & 22 frets make it easy to play, and structurally, it's a P-bass style with an ash body and maple neck that appeals to connoisseurs.
With a simple and robust 1Vol, 1Tone setup, turning down the tone knob produces a thick bass, while full-on provides a clear core with added treble.
The pickup position is slightly closer to the bridge than a typical P-bass, resulting in a different, yet straightforward and orthodox rock bass sound that is excellent without any unnecessary tricks.
Due to current price increases and the depletion of high-quality wood, bass prices are rising. In terms of quality, it might even be better than current new instruments, so I believe used basses from the 80s offer significant value.
