Why do UDG stuff sacks stand on their own?
Under Dog Gear products are finished using bonding and crimping. Instead of sewing with thread, a special double-sided tape is sandwiched between the fabric layers and bonded together with heat and pressure. This seam-free construction prevents water and odors from leaking, fully utilizing the airtightness of DCF (Dyneema Composite Fabric).
To create a self-standing stuff sack, the bottom needs to be precisely formed at right angles. This part, which is difficult to achieve with high precision using a sewing machine, can be made by bonding the fabric layers together on a flat surface. Choosing to eliminate seams has resulted in the added functionality of not falling over when placed down.
