This product is a seal carving tool called an insho (seal press).
It is a stand used to hold and fix seal materials (stone for stamps).
It is used for inscribing characters (fudeji) and carving seals.
By firmly securing the seal material, it prevents injuries and allows for bold use of the carving knife (un-to, or how to use the intō).
