The opening can be adjusted with a drawstring, and there are two loop straps on the back to thread belts or other items through, allowing you to attach carabiner hooks or belts. The inside is lined with fleece.
While originally designed as a bag for chalk used in rock climbing to prevent slipping, I purchased it to use as a compact pouch. Due to its compact size, I used it a few times as a smartphone case, a small item holder, or a bottle holder for small plastic bottles.
