Calligraphy Model "Rinsho Rantei Jo" (2 Volumes, Upper and Lower)
Approximately 1600 to 1700 years ago in China, Wang Xizhi held a Qu Shui no Utage (a gathering by a winding stream) at a place called Rantei. He compiled the poems recited at that time into a collection and wrote a preface himself. This is said to be the origin of the Lanting Xu (Preface to the Poems Composed at the Orchid Pavilion). Although Wang Xizhi's original calligraphy from that time does not survive, it was transcribed, carved into stone tablets, and what has been passed down to the present day is this Rinsho Rantei Jo (Calligraphy Copy of the Preface to the Poems Composed at the Orchid Pavilion).
