A gorgeous vintage reversible Welsh wool tapestry blanket bedspread! Approx Flat Lay Measurements: 95 x 91 (241 x 231cm) including fringe on ends. Beautiful 100% wool handwoven on a loom in Wales. This is a rare find: a vintage Welsh tapestry textile created in 4 beautiful colors -- coral-pink, sage-mint, creamy white, and a whisper of primrose yellow. The blanket is woven in the famed Brynkir pattern named after the woolen mill in which it originated, and it dates to the 1960s. Many Welsh tapestry blankets, especially newer ones, are comprised of only three yarn colors; this one, with its added fourth hue, gives an added dimension to the intricate geometric design. Both sides are shown in the various photos -- the blanket is beautiful either way. It's in excellent condition, with no holes, pulls or stains. You can use this as a bedspread, place it across the foot of the bed, or use it as an accent throw on a bench or sofa. It's also stunning as a wall-hanging.
