Ralph Lauren (Truly!) Rare Vintage Ralph Lauren “Islands” scarf. 1980’s.

This whimsical “Islands” scarf by Ralph Lauren is very rare. The design pre-dates the traditional Ralph Lauren Logo that usually appears printed in the lower right corner of his scarf designs. Instead, this scarf incorporates RL into the design as part of the waves. See photo # 2. It is a lightweight blend of 60% cotton and 40% silk. Even the size is unusual for a Ralph Lauren scarf. At 30” square, it’s meant to be worn casually with a tee or a crisp button-down shirt in warm weather, in your hair at the beach, or wrapping around the handle of your straw bag. No stains, holes or tears. Perfect condition.
