Lucien Gela Mandolin, Made in 1932, Adjusted
This is a French Luthier Gérard mandolin, loved by professional musicians, including Mr. Yoshida of Marionette.
It has been fully adjusted by experts.
Bridge: Made of brass. This provides a clearer sound with a longer sustain.
Tuning pegs: Replaced with pegs from a multi-string guitar. This eliminates the stress often associated with tuning Gérard mandolins.
Frets and fingerboard have been replaced from the original.
These are thin, mushroom-type frets. The instrument is ready for immediate performance.
We believe that a Gérard mandolin in good condition, ready for immediate concert performance, is quite rare.
It will be shipped in a hard case. Thank you for your consideration.
Please feel free to negotiate the price if you are considering purchasing.
We will consider your offer within our capabilities.
