Unmarked except for a number 10 1915 Butterfly Shape‎ Nippon Gold Cloisonne Enameled Jewelry Trinket Box

Antique Enameled & Jeweled Porcelain Butterfly Vanity Trinket Keepsake 1920s Japan/Nippon A butterfly shaped porcelain box entirely hand decorated. Features twisted gold raised border edges filled with enamel paint and decorated with faceted glass rhinestones. The sides are decorated the same and purposely decorated to meet and match the pattern on the lid. No cracks or chips; only notables to mention are (1) the interior was at one time painted with a sueded type finish to soften it for valuables. Over the years and quite a few cleanings, this finish has deteriorated and flaked off. (2) There are a few spots on the edges where the paint layer has worn or flaked off. These can easily be touched up..... no cracks, chips or repairs into the porcelain, just s some light expected wear from age that adds to its charm. Very pretty and considering the age it still displays beautifully! Measures just over 7 wide x 6tall x 2 thick with the lid on. Please see all the photos close-up to appreciate the work!
