★Deadstock Condition! Terada Gakki Jacquard Flat Mandolin! Super Loud Sound!★
You'll be astonished by its appearance, which is reminiscent of a brand-new instrument!
A dedicated hard case is optional.
■Jacquard! If you're a guitar enthusiast, you'll surely know this major brand! A brand produced by Terada Musical Instruments in the 1970s! Terada Musical Instruments is a long-established company that has no equal in OEM guitar production, both past and present! They are still very active worldwide! This item is a superb A-style flat mandolin produced in the mid-'70s by Terada Musical Instruments under the Jacquard brand! The list price at the time was ¥25,000 (equivalent to ¥75,000 in current currency value).
■Exterior: The top, sides, and back show no noticeable scratches whatsoever. After nearly half a century, it is in truly near-mint condition and is an exceptionally beautiful instrument! The top is made of exceptionally high-quality Sitka spruce with a wonderfully tight, straight grain. The sides and back are made of maple, giving it a wonderfully glossy body that looks as if it's wet. Please note that while it has been polished thoroughly and is not a concern, there are some very minor hairline scratches due to age. There are also pick scratches on the pickguard due to age, but they are not noticeable.
■Fingerboard: The rosewood grain is beautiful and shows no signs of use. The pearl-like dot position markers sparkle brilliantly!
■Frets: Polished without any rust or dullness. More than 80% remaining. There is some slight wear on a few frets in the lower fret area, but it does not affect playability in any way.
■Truss Rod: Functions without any issues.
■Saddle Height: Features an adjustable saddle for complete height adjustment freedom.
■String Height: 1st string - 0.25mm, 6th string - 1.75mm (measured at the 12th fret, please allow for slight variations). The string height is extremely low, making it very easy to play with a soft and smooth string touch. You'll be amazed by the deep, dynamic sound characteristic of A-style flat mandolins! Furthermore, you'll be captivated by its slightly Gibson-esque, punchy, and robust tone with excellent sustain and depth! This sound is beyond what you would expect for its price at the time. It boasts resonant lows, clear mids, and sparkling highs, and it truly shines not only with picking but also with tremolo playing! Enjoy the wonderful sound that Terada Musical Instruments is proud of! It's truly thrilling!
