Neiger Brothers
Vintage Attributed Neiger Brothers Czech Glass Beaded Necklace 1920's
A truly breathtaking vintage necklace attributed to the famed Neiger Brothers of Czechoslovakia, renowned for their exquisite Art Deco and Egyptian Revival jewelry. While this necklace is unsigned (as are many attributed examples), collectors have noted that the engraved glass bead style, color palette, craftsmanship, & overall design are highly consistent with Neiger-era production. Each beautifully engraved bead features intricate detailing, creating a wearable work of art that is as striking today as it was nearly a century ago. Feature: under black light, the turquoise glass beads glow a rich purple, while the remaining glass does not fluoresce—a wonderful characteristic often appreciated by collectors of vintage Czech glass. The Neiger Bros. were celebrated Jewish-Czech artisans whose jewelry became iconic during the Art Deco period. Tragically, after fleeing Gablonz during the Nazi invasion, they were arrested in Prague & ultimately perished during the Holocaust, making surviving examples of their work especially meaningful to collectors today. ✨Excellent vintage condition with beautiful patina appropriate for age. The engraved beads remain crisp and vibrant, the strand is secure, and the necklace displays beautifully. Mfg photo(s), if also shown, are for fit and/or style. There may be slight differences in mfg photos vs item for sale. Colors may look different when viewed on different devices. CLEAN smoke-free and cat-free home.
