When I won an award at the Ryukyu Classical Performing Arts Competition, I wanted a sanshin that I could use for a long time, so I purchased an Okinawan kuroki sanshin made by master craftsman [Yoshimitsu Uehara] from his workshop in Okinawa.

I spent all day comparing the various kuroki sanshin in the store, and I chose this one because its sound was the most resonant, yet gentle and warm.

Unfortunately, I became busy with work after purchasing it and couldn't attend lessons. I didn't want it to go to waste, so I'm listing it here.

I only played it twice for about 30 minutes each time for the Eisa music accompaniment of a local group. Since then, it has been stored at home.
There was a small scratch at the joint between the棹 (neck) and the チーガ (body) from the time of purchase, but I didn't mind it.
