Barber style violin chin rest, Mikurajima boxwood

This is a barber-style chin rest made from rare Mikurajima boxwood.
Length: 11.3 cm, Width: 5.5 cm, Height: 2.4 cm, Weight: 55 g
Finished with a glass coating.
The glass coating uses an eco-friendly paint that does not use any solvents such as thinner.
This chin rest is handmade by Yuji Matsuoka, a full member of the Japan Traditional Crafts Association.
Most chin rests are imported. Works by domestic artists are rare.
