~About Sarutahiko Shrine~
Sarutahiko Okami is the deity who first appeared at the beginning of all things and guides everything towards the best possible outcome. According to the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, it is said that at the dawn of the nation, he guided the heavenly grandson to this land.
After guiding Ninigi-no-Mikoto to Takachiho, Sarutahiko Okami, who pioneered the descent of the heavenly grandson, returned with Ame-no-Uzume-no-Mikoto to his home base, the upper reaches of the Isuzu River in Ise, and began the development of this land and the entire country.
