The blue fabric is patterned with rubbed-out shibori and hexagonal motifs, with a design of Mt. Fuji in the background, depicting scenes of boat crossings, komuso monks, and travelers on horseback.

There are no stains or dirt, and it doesn't appear to have been worn much, but there is a hole.
