This kimono dressing spatula is made from Shitan (rosewood), one of the three great precious woods, cut from the frame of a high-grade Zashiki table top, showcasing ribbon grain.

It is a thin, slender, and long ultra-thin long type that makes the most of the beautiful wood grain and has flexibility.

A 3mm diameter hole is drilled at the tip on the handle side for threading a string for a decorative bead.

The surface with the reddish-brown urethane coating uses the edge of the table top frame as is, so it has a gentle curve, and there are paint chips and unremovable scratches from the chamfering process, but otherwise, the surface has been polished as smooth as possible with a belt sander, and linseed oil has been applied for gloss and protection.
