【Last one in long length】Obijime Kyoto Kumihimo Nibihimo 100% Silk
This item was recreated by a kumihimo (braided cord) shop in Kyoto with a similar color and pattern after the original antique nibunhimo (a type of Japanese cord) broke.
Ordered 30m, so selling it in smaller portions.
This is the last of the long lengths.
I like nibunhimo and sanbunhimo (other types of Japanese cords) and have looked at many, but this is a lovely finish that is hard to find, and I always receive compliments when I wear it.
Combination of red and white-brown.
(Reference) The obi in the background is natural color.
Approximately 135cm, which is long for a nibunhimo, so it can be used by those with a fuller figure. The black smudges in the photo are believed to be from the braiding machine and were present from the beginning.
Width 6mm, thickness just under 1mm.
At first, it felt thinner and less substantial than the cords I already had, but it didn't loosen even after wearing it all day. In fact, because it's thin, it's easier to tie and thread through glass beads.
The ends are cut. This makes it easier to thread through any glass bead, but if you wish, I can finish them (for an additional ¥100, with an extra day for shipping) although I am not a professional.
❇︎ Obi clips and glass beads are not included.
Color: Red
Pattern: Mosaic, Ichimatsu (checkerboard)
