Unlike typical brass with plating, this is made from high-purity silver (sterling silver), the kind used for rings, which has been hammered. It can be attached to the preferred location on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd valve caps. Depending on preference, the most noticeable change is often heard on the 3rd valve.
