Vintage Art Deco Antique Art Deco Snap Link Cufflinks – Red Enamel Mosaic Design –c.Pre 1923 Rare

US Size:

Vintage Art Deco Snap Link Cufflinks – Red Enamel Mosaic Design – c.1930 Offered is a pair of vintage Art Deco snap-link cufflinks dating to approximately 1925–1935, a period when interchangeable snap cufflinks were widely produced in the Attleboro, Massachusetts jewellery district, the centre of American men’s jewellery manufacturing. These cufflinks feature a distinctive hexagonal Deco frame with a textured border surrounding an oval enamel mosaic panel. The panel displays a striking red striped brick pattern with green and dark accents, a design strongly influenced by the geometric and architectural styling of the Art Deco era. Construction These use the classic two-piece snap-link fastening system, an early cufflink design where each face snaps together through the shirt cuff rather than using a modern swivel bar. This mechanism was popular in the 1920s and early 1930s before later hinged backs became standard. Design Highlights • Hexagonal Art Deco frame • Red enamel mosaic/brick pattern panel • Gold-tone metal setting • Early snap-link fastening system • Strong geometric Deco styling The enamel panel gives the cufflinks a bold visual presence while maintaining a classic formal appearance suitable for both tuxedo and vintage dress wear. Condition • Snap receivers intact and functional • Enamel panels in good vintage condition • Light wear consistent with age • No structural damage observed Please review photos carefully as they form part of the description.
