N/A Vintage wood pen/pencil holder/shadow box with cutty sark 1869 sailing ship.

Vintage wood pen and pencil holder with glass fronted shadow box of sailing ship. Although some have listed similar items as pen and pencil holders, and certainly this item fills that bill as well. However, when I received it, the box had a metal flask where the pens and pencils would go. I am including the flask with this sale. I believe the flask to be sound, but I have not tested it and is presented as is, as a bonus to the sale. The item itself is a wood box with a shadow box element built into the front. A three masted sailing ship with all sails hoisted is attached inside the shadow box. The vignette is sealed with glass and continuing the nautical theme, is decorated with rope which runs along the seams of the glass front. There is a map behind the ship. A brass sign is attached below the ship upon which is written cutty sark 1869. There are brass brackets above the top and bottom front edge corners of the box. Four rubber cushions are attached on the bottom of the box. The box itself is in good condition and I believe has been lightly distressed at the time of production vto simulate aged wood. The box dimensions are 4 1/2 inches wide by 5 inches high by 3 1/2 inches deep.
