Bach Tenor Bass Trombone 42B (1974-75, Elkhart)
Vincent Bach Stradivarius 42B Tenor-Bass Trombone.
Purchased over 40 years ago and used during my student days, this instrument has been stored for a long time. I will no longer be playing it, and in order to declutter my belongings, I am putting it up for sale during a major cleaning.
The serial number is 35968. It appears to have been manufactured around 1974-1975 at the Elkhart factory.
The slide and valves move normally, but as it has been left unused for a long time, maintenance may be required.
There is plating wear on the handgrip area, the part that touches the neck, and a portion of the bell. However, considering it has been stored for over 30 years, the bell's shine is still beautiful, and I believe it is in good condition (please refer to the images for the exterior condition).
I cleaned the inside of the tubes with neutral detergent and dried them before storage, so I believe the inside is also clean.
It will be shipped in the original hard case from when it was purchased.
The case is covered with a cloth cover, but it is dirty, so please discard it if you do not need it. For protection during shipping, I will send it with the cloth cover still attached.
I will also include Bach 6 1/2A and YAMAHA 57 mouthpieces.
(I assume purchasers will have their own mouthpieces.)
If you have any questions after viewing the images, please leave a comment.
Please refrain from returns or complaints after purchase.
Thank you.
