Afro Jazz & Soul Bossa 2-Disc Set KORA JAZZ TRIO
A stylish, danceable 2-disc JAZZ album set featuring Afro-jazz and Soul Bossa.
Afro-pop grooves that transcend jazz.
This is the second album from Kora Jazz Trio, a jazz trio from Senegal and Guinea, Africa.
Delicate sounds full of groove woven from improvisation. Recommended for fans of Thelonious Monk and Charles Trenet.
This album will appeal not only to Afro-pop lovers but also to jazz fans.
Also recommended for fans of free jazz.
Includes obi strip and liner notes.
Comes in a paper sleeve and digipak, making it a great recommendation for paper sleeve collectors.
The other album is:
Ike Quebec / Bossa Nova Soul Samba
This is a work from two months before the death of Ike Quebec, who supported Blue Note.
Alfred Lion recorded this album with the aim of capturing as much of Quebec's performance as possible. Given that it also served as financial assistance for his medical treatment, I believe he was one of Blue Note's most deeply connected musicians.
Recorded amidst the global Bossa Nova boom, this is a popular album featuring Quebec's unique interpretation of Bossa Nova.
Instead of aiming to emulate the Stan Getz style, he approached Bossa Nova from his own unique perspective.
Quebec's relaxed phrasing, infused with blues and soul. Despite being Bossa Nova, it's filled with melancholy.
He passed away two months after this recording, but listening to this album, his powerful tenor playing remains strong.
It's a very romantic album.
This is a former rental item.
