Vintage Corocraft Silver Tone Star Trio Modernist Brooch Pin MCM Space Age
Exclusive Corocraft (Coro’s Boutique Division) stepped out from the norm with its aesthetic designs from artistic branch-offs in the 1960s. Specifically Mid Century Modern Era, with Brutalist design elements and Modernist features, these new pieces captured the Futurama/Space Age popular culture fascination. The monochromatic pewter style alloy offers a matte silver tone finish, a stark contrast to the colors, bling and shimmering jewels of the favorite Coro designs to date that made them the largest costume jewelry manufacturer in the world at that time. Abstract, geometric and minimalist. The 4-pointed star trio motif is designed as a three-dimensional, overlapping layered piece with metal etchings in a futuristic bark-like textile on each star. ©️Corocraft script logo stamped on embossed metal cartouche on pin back. Brooch/pin is 2 1/4” w x 2” h with a depth of 1/4”. Measurements are approximate and to the best of my ability. No dents or damage but metal has some light scuffs and patina as would be expected with its age. Secure rollover safety pin is secure and intact. Please see all photos for best representation.
