Antique Vienna style Antique Vienna‑Style Porcelain Cup w/ Ornate Silverplate Holder & Saucer

This beautiful antique porcelain cup and silverplate holder set dates to the late 19th–early 20th century and features richly detailed Vienna‑style artwork. The porcelain insert is hand‑painted with four romantic panels, each showing finely rendered figures in pastoral settings with bright colors and heavy gilding. The interior of the cup also includes decorative gold accents. The painting is crisp and vibrant, with no over‑cleaning or restoration. The metal holder and matching saucer are highly ornate, displaying deep repoussé work with cherubs, scrolls, and floral motifs. The silverplate has been lightly cleaned to preserve original patina, revealing the craftsmanship while maintaining its antique character. The interior of the holder retains a brighter silver tone, typical of well‑preserved silverplate over brass. The piece shows expected age wear but no structural damage. The porcelain sits securely in the holder, and the set displays beautifully. The underside of the porcelain bears a blue decorator's mark referencing 1772, commonly used by German and Austrian workshops producing Vienna‑style cabinet pieces. This is a lovely example of continental European artistry and makes an excellent addition to a collection of antique porcelain, silverplate, or Victorian decorative objects.
