Playtech PTHR-500 (Full Double French Horn)

US Size:

This is a Playtech copy model of the Alexander 103.
I bought it because I was interested in a copy of the 103 and thought it would be good for use at events.
The angle of the mouthpiece and bell is different from the Alexander 103, so the feel when holding it is different.
Modern Chinese-made instruments seem to have better pitch accuracy than in the past (this is a personal observation, so take it as a reference).
Regarding the shank, American shank mouthpieces (Jardine) fit snugly without any wobbling.
There are scratches from use (scuff marks), but there is also a small dent on the tube connecting the bell and the main body, which I'm unsure if it was there from the beginning or if I caused it (sorry, it's not visible in the photos).
The scratch in photo ⑫ is likely from debris getting mixed in during the lacquering process (it was there from the start).
Since I don't anticipate using it frequently in the future, I hope someone can use it as their first instrument or as a backup.
It is currently set to F.
If you have any questions, please feel free to comment, and I will answer them to the best of my ability.
