Horn / ORSI MILANO / Semi-double Horn (F/B♭)
Horn / ORSI MILANO / Single Bb/F French Horn
Main signs of age-related deterioration:
- General rust and verdigris
- Several small dents on the bell section
- Slight sinking at the solder joint of the L-shaped brace connecting the mouthpiece pipe to the bell section
- Music stand fixing screw missing
- 4th rotary cap missing
- Non-standard parts used for 1st and 4th rotary spindle screws
- Rattling noise from each lever
etc.
*Case included (Note: Old Yamaha case. Handle has been temporarily repaired. Intended as a bonus for storage.)
*Mouthpiece not included.
This is a single Bb/F French horn from the Italian company Orsi, nostalgic for students of the Showa era.
As shown in the images, there is general rust due to age, but no critical dents or solder failures. All rotary valves and slide tubes are movable, making it suitable for refurbishment or preservation as a working instrument.
Please note that the 4th rotary cap and music stand fixing screw are missing. (There are likely workshops that can measure and create replacement parts.)
I have kept this masterpiece (or perhaps mystery piece?) as few are likely to exist today, but I am now selling it as part of decluttering.
