This is a truly wonderful utility, as described in the catalog.
The following is an excerpt from the website.
Conforms to SLE rules
Combines the distance of long irons with the ease of use of mid irons.
This high-performance utility, featuring the same DSI technology as the driver and fairway wood, allows you to aim for the pin even from difficult lies and slopes that you had given up on. The unique head structure (patented) achieved by the high-strength titanium cup face and ultra-thin crown realizes an ultra-wide sweet spot area. Ball speed increased by 2.1m/s + backspin reduced by 700rpm. Furthermore, with a 30% reduction in side spin, the amount of curve on mishits is half that of other manufacturers' UTs. It leaves other manufacturers' UTs of the same loft 10-15 yards behind. This high-performance utility, with its long-hitting and straight-flying strong trajectory that everyone can feel, will significantly change the scores of all golfers.
*Based on comparative tests with other manufacturers' clubs conducted by our company.
1. Distance and Direction
Less variation in distance and direction even on mishits
Because UTs are shorter than other wood clubs, head speed does not increase as much. Therefore, if you hit the sweet spot, you'll be on the green, and if you miss the sweet spot, you'll be in the greenside bunker, making it a club that directly impacts your score. The RYOMA U, where the center of gravity of the head and ball align, releases high-speed balls with its high-elasticity body and special face, resulting in extremely little variation in distance and direction even on mishits. This is a next-generation UT that greatly contributes to scoring.
2. High Speed and High Angle
Aim directly for the pin from above
Conventional stainless steel cast UTs have a high center of gravity, resulting in a lot of backspin, causing the ball to lift before reaching its apex. While this has the advantage of making the ball stop more easily, it limits distance. Like long irons, the sweet spot is narrow, so if you miss the center, there will be a deviation from the intended distance and direction. The RYOMA U, with its revolutionary head structure, makes it possible to launch high-spin balls at a high angle with high initial velocity. After efficiently gaining distance, the ball is dropped from above to aim for the pin. Even on off-center hits, hard swings, or against the wind, it is difficult to balloon, and the ball flies towards the pin with a strong trajectory.
