This is a set of 5 Samue (monk's work clothes) purchased from a temple robe shop.
These are the same garments worn by chief monks and priests, and are of significantly higher quality than commonly sold Samue. Made in Kyoto, both the sewing and fabric are very well-made. The hems are elasticated.

The Cool Pula and brown Samue are thin and suitable for spring/summer, while the other three are thick and suitable for autumn/winter. The Cool Pula Samue is made of a supple, high-quality wool material for summer, and typically costs around 40,000 yen per piece. At the time of purchase, the total cost for the 5 pieces was approximately 150,000 yen.

【Reason for Discount】Although these items are new and unused, they have been in long-term storage and some may have a faint musty odor. This should be removable with washing, so they should be fine after cleaning, but please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to such odors. Additionally, some of the outer plastic packaging may be damaged.
