Noragi (workwear), vintage, indigo-dyed kasuri, hemp Noto fabric, antique cloth boro, nora-149
This is a sturdy, well-worn noragi (workwear) made from indigo-dyed kasuri (ikat) and Noto-jofu linen fabric dating from the late Meiji to late Taisho periods. The fabric has been used extensively and has a wonderful texture. It features an inner pocket, shoulder pads, and a back panel. The collar is frayed, and there are other signs of wear such as stains, scuffs, and wrinkles. Please consider this item for wear or as material for repurposing. Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to the unique smell of old cloth or mothballs. We appreciate your understanding if you are familiar with antique textiles and boro (patchwork).
