【Latest】Bass Clarinet Black Edition Ebony Body

Introducing the latest bass clarinet from DG INSTRUMENT, making its debut in Japan.

The body design is a full replica of the Selmer Privilege, crafted with several times the precision of previous low-priced bass clarinets. The body material is uncolored black ebony wood, producing a luxurious tone derived from its wooden construction. (We apologize for the resulting high price.)

All keys are finished with black nickel plating. While initially conceived for aesthetic appeal, this finish has resulted in the heavy, dark tone essential for low-pitched instruments. It seems nickel plating is well-suited for low-pitched instruments, similar to our previous baritone saxophones.

Having test-played this instrument ourselves, we are confident that we have created a bass clarinet that is not just comparable to, but demonstrably performs at the same level or better than, Selmer and Buffet Crampon. We plan to mass-produce this model as our flagship product going forward. We encourage you to purchase one.
