This vintage miniature brass box is a beautiful example of Chinese export craftsmanship. The exterior features recessed panels of champlevé enamel on the lid and three sides, showcasing a traditional chrysanthemum floral design in vibrant shades of cobalt blue, forest green, and earthy red. The box is constructed of solid brass and features a hinged lid. The underside is clearly stamped CHINA, a mark typically found on pieces intended for the Western market.
