Beautiful vintage costume jewelry set purchased in Mexico during the late 1990s or early 2000s. Includes an oval focal necklace pendant and a matching pair of round earrings. Each piece features vibrant slices of genuine, natural iridescent abalone shell. The shell has beautiful organic layers that catch the light, flashing brilliant shades of pink, green, and blue.Framed by an intricate, machine-cast silver-tone openwork border with a secure poured-resin backing. This is an authentic vintage tourist souvenir piece made of an unmarked silver-toned base metal alloy, not sterling silver. Good vintage condition. Light surface patina on the metal. No major chips or cracks to the natural shell work.
