Produces a rich, mellow tone that cannot be achieved with ebonite mouthpieces. I purchased this after trying several at Yamano Music in Ginza three months ago and selecting the one with the best resonance. Crystal mouthpieces degrade very little and can be used semi-permanently as long as they are not broken.
I have few opportunities to play the clarinet, and I also switch mouthpieces depending on the reed, so I have only used this a few times. I have decided to sell it because I am switching to a model with a larger opening.
