JE Caldwell Antique 1907 Sterling Silver Pedestal Compote Tazza Matthews for JE Caldwell 6"H

Up for offer here is an antique, early 20th century, 1907, Edwardian era, American Sterling Silver Pedestal Compote Tazza by the Matthews Corp, from Newark, New Jersey, for the retailer, J.E. Caldwell Co. The tall bon bon or candy dish is done in pattern #236, which has an alternating reticulated double bar between repousse hanging bellflower garland. This is weighted, the interior is filled with pitch. Other than base cap, the piece is entirely planished from one piece. Fine Antique Condition, rim is bent, see images.
