【Early Showa Period / Pure Silk】Obiage (Sash Band) - Red

This obiage (sash accessory) is made of pure silk and features an eye-catching stripe design. The red patterned areas are shibori (tie-dye).
It was purchased by my grandmother, who was born in the Taisho era and lived in Korai-bashi, Osaka, at the Mitsukoshi Osaka store before her wedding. Therefore, it dates back to the 1930s, approximately 90 years ago.
As I do not have opportunities to wear Japanese clothing, I am offering it to someone who can use it.
It has been carefully stored in a paulownia chest, but there are some stains and spots. No moth damage is visible.
We kindly ask for your understanding that this is a pre-owned item that has been stored at home for many years.
