Very good vintage item with patina and expected signs of use 1890's. Final sale Rare antique personalized porcelain shaving mug bearing the name W. A. Petry in gold Gothic script. Features a rich lavender/purple ground with a beautifully hand-painted oval sailing scene — two sailboats on open water with an American flag — framed by a gold dot cartouche and surrounded by hand-painted gold chrysanthemum and clover florals. Heavy gold banding at the pedestal base. Interior soap ring platform intact. Approximately 3.5–4 tall. Condition: Good antique condition. Gold wear to base rim and top edge consistent with age and use. Painted decoration and body in good condition. No chips or cracks noted in porcelain. Please review all photos carefully.
