Handmade Granny square wool crochet twin blanket throw *damaged*

This is wool I washed it and you see it hanging on my clothesline in the picture It is 1970s. I know the person who made it. She said she made it in about 1970. It does need a few small repairs It measures60” x 38” Maybe a wet felting project?!
