Tamapitch BTP-101-W Unused Item

This item has been stored in a warehouse since its release around 1997. The photos show everything included.
When the main unit is placed on the charger, the charging lamp lights up and an electronic sound is heard. After a while, a charging complete text message is displayed. However, when removed and the power button is held down for 2 seconds, the unit does not turn on. I am unsure if the internal battery has degraded or if there is another reason, as I am not an expert.
There are no scratches, scuffs, discoloration, or sticky residue from hydrolysis on the main unit, charger, etc.
Please purchase this item with your understanding and agreement of the above.
Please note that we are not considering price reductions at this time, so please refrain from making requests.
Thank you.
