Ernie Ernie Miller Crystalline Glaze Studio Art Pottery Vase 2006 Signed 10.75"
Up for your consideration is a magnificent, hand-thrown studio art pottery vase by the highly acclaimed Midwest ceramic artist, Ernest Ernie Miller. Hand-crafted at his Minneapolis studio in 2006, this vessel is a masterclass in volatile zinc-silicate crystalline glaze formulation. Glaze & Form: The vase features an elegant, elongated pilsner or flared trumpet form that tapers beautifully down into a heavy, flared pedestal foot. The glaze displays an incredible palette of warm butterscotch, rich amber, and golden-ochre tones, which deepen into dark espresso brown toward the base. The surface is adorned with striking, perfectly developed snowflake and starburst crystalline formations frozen under a glassy, high-gloss finish. Signature & Marks: The unglazed porcelain bottom is clearly hand-incised by the artist with his official initials, ELM, and explicitly dated 2006. Dimensions: * Height: 10.75 inches * Width (at widest point): ~4.5 inches Condition: Excellent to Mint Condition. No chips, cracks, fleabites, or repairs. The unglazed foot ring is smooth and clean with no rough grinding damage - a common issue with runny crystalline firings. A pristine collector's piece that has been impeccably cared for.
