【Reipapa's Review】
*The following is a personal review including spoilers. Please consider it for reference only if you are interested.
This is an action-adventure film based on Capcom's hit game series Monster Hunter, which has sold over 65 million copies worldwide. Milla Jovovich, the star of the hit film Resident Evil, also based on a popular Capcom game, reunites with director Paul W.S. Anderson for this project.
Artemis, a soldier leading an elite special forces unit, is scouting in the desert when she is suddenly caught in a massive sandstorm. Despite her desperate attempts to escape, she is swept away in an instant. When Artemis awakens after losing consciousness amidst fierce winds and intense lightning, she finds herself in a strange, unfamiliar world, not her own. In this world, giant monsters that cannot be harmed by modern weaponry roam freely, and hunters make a living by hunting these monsters. To return to her own world, Artemis engages in fierce battles against the giant monsters that relentlessly attack her.
