Gottsu Mouthpiece, Alto Saxophone, Jazz Soloist C☆ Excellent Condition
Gottsu Mouthpiece, Alto Saxophone, Jazz Soloist C☆
Tip Opening: 1.7 mm
(Reference: Selmer S80-C★★: 1.65mm, S80-D: 1.75mm)
Note: This is a previous model of the currently sold Jazz Solist.
Purchased about 2-3 years ago? Gottsu is a manufacturer of jazz mouthpieces, and many of their mouthpieces have wide tip openings. Since I couldn't yet play mouthpieces with such wide tip openings, the Jazz Soloist was my only option, so I bought it. I found the Soloist C, which I purchased at the same time, easier to play, so I used that one primarily. Therefore, I only used this mouthpiece a few times and then stored it. I remember my first impression of the Jazz Soloist was, Wow, why is this so easy to play!? even as a beginner. I think fat, mellow jazz sound is a perfect description.
I've decided to sell it now because my desired sound direction has changed.
Gottsu is a well-known Japanese manufacturer, so new ones are expensive, but I've priced this used, previous model affordably. How about trying this as a first mouthpiece for those considering a challenge from concert band to jazz?
If you like this item, you might consider purchasing the current model. It's quite expensive, but it seems to have more power.
