Gained attention in 1989 with the Fujicolor, Renown Scholars commercial.
Along with Rie Miyazawa and Riho Makise, she was known as 3M after the first letter of their names.

The drama series that aired from July 1996,
Nurse no Oshigoto (Fuji TV), featured her as the protagonist nurse, Izumi Asakura, who, despite being clumsy, interacted cheerfully with patients. She showed excellent comedic chemistry with Yuki Matsushita, who played a senior nurse.

Highly active as an idol, actress, and model.
