Arthur Singer Arthur Singer - Vintage "Western Meadowlark" Print #7 of #8 Series

US Size:

Vintage Arthur Singer framed bird print originally commissioned in 1957 for the American Home Magazine. This is #7 of his 8 print series. Featuring the Western Meadowlark—the state bird for Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oregon, and Wyoming—this piece also highlights the iconic wildflowers of those regions, including the Wild Prairie Rose and Sunflower. The 13 x 11 glass covered wood-look frame holds the 10 x 13 print with no mat. You will note that the frame is really old with the backing from cardboard and a hook strung with wire hanger. It is a little loose in the frame so it probably needs some additional clips to hold the print secure. I would advise not attempting to remove the print from the backing as they are very old and the tape does not remove easily without tearing the paper. I learned this the hard way when I tried to reframe one of the other prints (#1 Cardinal, see separate listing). I originally purchased several already framed prints at an auction, then later found an entire set unframed. Feel free to ask questions! Bundle to Save!
