Arthur Singer Arthur Singer - Vintage "Robin" Print #5 of #8 in Series -

US Size:

Vintage Arthur Singer framed bird print originally commissioned in 1957 for the American Home Magazine. This is #5 of his 8 print series. Featuring the Robin—the state bird for Connecticut, Michigan, and Wisconsin—this piece also highlights the iconic flora and fauna of those regions: Mount Laurel from Connecticut, Native violet from Wisconsin, and Apple Blossom from Michigan. The 15 x 12 glass covered wood-look frame with gold accents holds the 10 x 13 print with a dark gray mat. You will note that the frame is really old with a hook strung with wire hanger and small nails to hold the backing in place. There is residual paper around the back of the frame edge because the paper backing was pulled off. I would advise not attempting to remove the print from the backing as they are very old and the tape does not remove easily without tearing the paper. I learned this the hard way when I tried to reframe one of the other prints (#1 Cardinal, see separate listing). I originally purchased several already framed prints at an auction, then later found an entire set unframed. Feel free to ask questions! Bundle to Save!
